Abadar and his followers worship the law that maintains peace between society, merchants that help deliver goods that make society prosper, and the wealth that allows people to live satisfactory lives. He is also a great proponent of peace, as war inevitably leads to the degradation of trade and the stifling of prosperity for the general public. He advocates cautious, careful consideration in all matters, and frowns on impulsiveness, believing that it leads to the encouragement of primitive needs. Some types of people that worship him are merchants, bankers, judges, lawmakers, lawyers, and aristocrats. His symbol is a golden key, and his sacred animal is a monkey.

Asmodeus, also known as the King of Hell or the Prince of Darkness, is the most powerful of the nine archdevils that inhabit Hell, and the only one of Hell's rulers to claim full divinity. He believes that the strong should rightfully govern the weak, who in turn owe their masters unwavering obedience. He loves negotiations and contracts, especially those that give one of the parties a distinct, hidden advantage over the other. He expects and appreciates flattery, but is never fooled by it, seeing it as a negotiation tactic, as well as a duty those in inferior positions owe their betters. Some types of people that worship him are slavers, bureaucrats, and tyrants. His symbol is a red pentagram, and his sacred animal is a serpent.

Asmodeus lacks any official tenets or sins.


Calistria, also known as The Savored Sting, is the goddess of lust and revenge who takes on many faces and guises. She is held in especially high regard by elves, who often identify with her moods and changeable nature. A fondness for wasps has earned this vengeful deity the title the Savored Sting; such creatures live on after harming their enemies, a trait Calistria's followers hope to emulate when pursuing their goals. is not only vengeful, but vindictive when she has been wronged by another; she will take her time returning such disfavor, maneuvering in order to attain the best position from which to enact her retribution. Some types of people that worship her are people who have been wronged, scorned lovers, and elves. Her symbol is three daggers, and her sacred animal is a wasp.

Desna is an ancient goddess of freedom and luck, and is credited with the creation of the heavens. She is also associated with realms beyond the material, such as the stars and dreams. Oftentimes travelers will worship her due to this. Some types of people that worship her are travelers, astronomers, and gamblers. Her symbol is a butterfly, and her sacred animal is also a butterfly

Gorum, also known as the Lord in Iron, is the god of battle above all other pursuits; it is said that he would rust away into nothingness if there is ever a time with no more conflicts to be fought. The Lord in Iron is considered brash and impulsive; he takes what he wants, by force if necessary, and answers any direct opposition to his will with violence. Some examples of people that worship him include soldiers, mercenaries, and bandits. His symbol is a sword in a mountain, and his sacred animal is a Rhinoceros.

Persano is the god of nature, a god of the storm and sky and also a god of the wave and surf. Born of the ocean's fury and the wind's wrath, Gozreh is a fickle deity. His faithful are to be found in all places of nature, doing his will as they have for eons. He is said to roam the material plane permanently in the form of waves or storms. Some examples of people that worship him are sailors, farmers, and druids. His symbol is a dripping leaf, and his sacred animal is every animal.

Irori, also known as the Master of Masters, is the god of enlightenment, self-perfection, knowledge, and inner strength. His followers claim that he was once a mortal who achieved absolute physical and mental perfection and thus attained divinity of his own volition. Some examples of people that worship him are monks, metallic dragons, mystics, hermits, martial artists, historians, scholars. His symbol is an open blue palm, and his sacred animal is a snail.

Some tenets that he upholds: Be humble, help others, hone your body mind and spirit

Some actions that he considers a sin: Being addicted to anything, destroying important historical text, repeatedly fail to maintain self control 


Lamashtu, also known as the Mother of Beasts, is the goddess of many misshapen and malformed creatures that crawl, slither, or flap on, above, or below the surface. She is also a direct enemy to Desna, she inflicts nightmares instead of dreams on mortals. Some examples of people that worship her are gnolls, goblins, harpies, ogres, lamias, and other monsters. Her symbol is a three eyed jackal, and her sacred animal is a jackal.

Some tenets that she upholds are: Bringing power to outcasts, Indoctrinate children into her teachings, make the beautiful monstrous, reveal the corruption and flaw in all things

Nethys, also known as The All-Seeing Eye, is a god who holds magic above all things. He gained enough power to witness all that transpired on all planes, and this both fueled his divinity and drove him irreparably mad. He is a god of magic, torn between destroying the world with one hand and saving it with the other. This dual-edged nature of magic is cherished by his followers and is epitomized in his apotheosis. Some examples of his followers are wizards, scholars, and other mages. His symbol is a two toned mask, and his sacred animal is a zebra.

Cyric is known as the god of thievery, espionage, and assassination, as well as a keeper of secrets. He is called the 'Reaper of Reputation' by some, but has more insidious titles among his other worshipers. He remains an enigma to most, and his true motives are unknown. Many of his own followers remain ignorant of his plans and designs. Some examples of his worshippers are thieves, assassins, murderers, and spies. His symbol is a one eyed mask, and his sacred animal is a spider.

Pharasma, also known as the Mother of Souls, is the goddess who shepherds recently-departed souls to their final resting place. Pharasma makes no decision on whether a death is just or not; she views all with a cold and uncaring attitude, and decides on which of the Outer Planes a soul will spend eternity. Pharasma is also the goddess of birth and prophecy: from the moment a creature is born, she sees what its ultimate fate will be, but reserves final judgment until that soul finally stands before her. As the goddess of death and rebirth, she abhors the undead and considers them a perversion. Some examples of those that worship her are midwives, pregnant women, and morticians. Her symbol is a spiraling comet, and her sacred animal is a crow and raven.

Some tenets she upholds: Hold no pity for those who suffer and die, for death is the natural end of life, Strike down undead wherever you see them, for they are abominations.

Sarenrae, also known as the Dawnflower, is a goddess who teaches temperance and patience in all things. Compassion and peace are her greatest virtues, and if enemies of the faith can be redeemed, they should be. Yet there are those who have no interest in redemption, who glory in slaughter and death. From the remorseless evil of the undead and fiends, to the cruelties born in the hearts of mortals, Sarenrae's doctrines preach swift justice delivered by a blade's edge. To this end, she expects her faithful to be skilled at swordplay, both as a form of martial art promoting centering of mind and body, and so that when they do enter battle, their foes do not suffer any longer than necessary. Her worshippers include healers, paladins, farmers, and redeemed evil doers. Her symbol is an angelic ankh, and her sacred animal is a dove.

Some of her tenets: Show mercy to those who are willing to accept it, Don’t make anyone or anything suffer more than they must, provide aid to those in need, and seek redemption for wrong doings.

Shelyn, also known as The Eternal Rose, is the goddess of art, beauty, love, and music, and the half-sister of Zon-Kuthon. Shelyn focuses on beauty and the related areas of art and music. Some examples of worshippers of her are artists, poets, lovers, musicians, leaders. Her symbol is a multicolored songbird, and her sacred animal is also a songbird.

Some tenets she upholds: Perfect an art form, lead by example, see beauty in all things

Some actions she considers a sin: Destroy art or allow it’s destruction, stand in the way of true love


Zon-Kuthon, also known as the Prince of Pain, possesses one of the most twisted and evil minds in the Great Beyond. His position as god of pain is well earned, and he has been the root of countless tortures, murders, and worse throughout time. Some examples of his worshippers are sadists, masochists, and sociopaths. His symbol is a chained skill, and his sacred animal is a bat.
