The Battle of Skullrise Pass
The tensions between Human and Yuan-Ti were still high, but they shared a goal of taking down the colossal black dragon, Eldrax. The Humans and Yuan-Ti knew Eldrax was tough, and developed a new type of weaponry, firearms, for the purpose of taking down the beast. They prepared an army, and marched together towards Skullrise Pass.
As they arrived at the battle, Eldrax let out a deafening roar, striking fear into the hearts of those that dared to challenge him. As the humans and Yuan-Ti let out a torrent of bullets from their guns, Eldrax returned by taking flight, and mowing down the front lines with a breath attack of fire. The torrent of flames engulfed the front lines, searing the flesh straight off of most of those who were caught in the blast. He began to fly through the ranks, tearing apart anyone in his path with his razor sharp claws, snapping up a few in his jaws too. The smoke from his fiery breath quickly blocked out the sun.
The battlefield quickly became chaos, limbs were torn from their bodies, flesh was burned away to bone, and the smell of burning flesh and hair was overwhelming. The ground was littered with half charred people, their lifeless eyes staring at the dark sky above with their mouths agape in fear. The only sound that could be heard were the screams of those who were burning alive, and the earth shaking roars from Eldrax. The people began to lose hope, but couldn't retreat as Eldrax has circled them in a ring of fire. The humans and Yuan-Ti knew they would all die.
Just when they had lost all hope, a figure in bulky, iron full plate armor atop an equally armored horse came charging through the ring of fire that surrounded them, the flames seeming to part for him. Behind him was an army of armored cavalry, charging with equal ferocity. The figure was The Lord in Iron, and his cavalry was his Disciples in Iron. They charged the dragon Eldrax, drawing his attention away from the gunslingers. The Lord in Iron held the attention of the mighty dragon, absorbing blow after blow, and even standing through a full breath attack. The Disciples in Iron helped the wounded escape while their leader heroically made his stand. The Lord in Iron held the aggression long enough for the gunslingers to chip away at Eldrax's scales, grevioulsy wounding him. Eldrax was forced to flee deep into the Wild West region, and has not been seen since.
The battle was won, but at a great cost. Many lives were lost, and those that survived the battle sustained many injuries, and suffer greatly from the memories of Eldrax's terror. While many warriors from the Eastern Continent like to recount their time in their wars, those who participated in the Battle of Skullrise Pass don't like to speak about their experiences. The reputation of the Lord in Iron and his disciples were changed during the course of the battle, most saw him as a fraud before, but after he saved the battle, even those that doubt his status as a god have respect for him.
