Mermaids Lagoon

Mermaid's Lagoon is a large island located in the southern region of the tropical Coral Keys chain. It is known for its abundant sugar cane fields, which are the primary source of income for the island's inhabitants. The island is also home to many fishermen who make their living by selling fresh seafood to passing ships and nearby islands.

The name of the island comes from a legendary tale of mermaids who were said to have once inhabited the lagoon in the center of the island. While no one has ever been able to confirm the existence of these mythical creatures, the lagoon remains a popular spot for swimming and diving among locals and tourists alike.

Despite its natural beauty and resources, Mermaid's Lagoon is relatively poor compared to nearby Sunset Island. The island has struggled to attract significant investment or development, and many of its residents live in modest conditions. However, the people of Mermaid's Lagoon are proud of their island and its rich history, and they continue to work hard to make a living from the land and sea.
