Stonehaven

Stonehaven is an ancient gnomish city located within the Wildwood region, surrounded by a thick forest of tall trees that seem to obscure the sunlight, creating an eerie yet mystical ambiance throughout the city. The city itself is built entirely from plain stone structures, with very tall, dark walls that are covered in moss and vines, giving it an appearance of being one with nature.

The city is surrounded by a high and thick wall, which provides a sense of security to its residents. The wall is tall enough to prevent any creatures from scaling it, and its stone surface is slick, making it difficult to climb. The gatehouses of the city are also made of stone and are manned by guards who are vigilant in watching for any signs of danger.

Within the city, the streets are narrow and winding, with the buildings clustered closely together, creating an almost claustrophobic feeling. The buildings themselves are constructed from plain stone, with small windows that provide minimal light, adding to the city's dim and shadowy atmosphere.

Despite the dim lighting and claustrophobic feeling of the city, Stonehaven is filled with bustling activity. The people of the city are mostly hunters and explorers who venture into the Wildwood to hunt game gather resources, and then they sell it in the market.

In the center of the city is the residence of House Fowler, the noble family that rules over the Wildwood region. The residence is a grand stone building, which stands out from the other structures due to its size and the detailed carvings that adorn its facade.

Bloodthirsty bat-like creatures reside in the mountains north of Stonehaven, and have been known to attack the city from time to time. Although they look bestial in nature, they are known to sing laments that echo through the forest on especially dark nights, chilling the souls of the people of the Wildwood. Some believe they may possess human intelligence, or maybe they are just mimicking human sounds.
