Demons

Demons are often misunderstood, not all of them are evil. Demons are agents of chaos, which can often be associated with aspects that are evil, such as destruction, but not every demon expresses their chaos this way.

Demons are varied, some having animal-like intelligence, while others had the intelligence that of a mortal, and some having a higher intelligence, exceeding even some of the smartest mortals. As they are agents of chaos, demons' appearances vary greatly from demon to demon.

Demons reside in a plane of existence below the material plane known as the Abyss. No one demon rules over all of the abyss, but there exist demon lords, demons who have gained enough power and influence to establish domains, their own sections of the Abyss. Over thousands of years, they have amassed tremendous power and authority over their domains.

Malphas

Malphas is a formidable and cunning demon lord who has united many demons under his rule, becoming the king of demons. He has earned his position through his relentless pursuit of power and his unyielding hatred towards the gods who cast him into the Abyss. As a former god himself, Malphas possesses immense power and knowledge that he has used to manipulate and control those around him.

Malphas is known for his elusiveness and ability to take on any form he chooses. This allows him to deceive mortals, demons, and even other gods, and manipulate them to his advantage. He is a master of manipulation and strategy, often playing the long game to achieve his goals.

Malphas is also known for his love of chaos and destruction, and is willing to use any means necessary to achieve his ends. He often pits his followers against each other in a bid to weed out the weak and strengthen the strong. Those who prove their loyalty and worth to him are granted great power and influence.

Despite his power and influence, there are still some demons who resist Malphas' rule, viewing him as a threat to their own interests. However, these demons are few in number and are often quickly dealt with by Malphas' loyal followers.

The Collector

The Collector is a formidable and feared demon in his own right, despite his role as just an agent of Malphas. He is said to be one of the most powerful demons in the Abyss, possessing a wide range of abilities that allow him to track down and capture demons who have gone astray from Malphas's rule. His black fur seems to absorb light, making him difficult to spot in the darkness. The sight of his piercing red eyes in the darkness is often the last thing his targets see before being captured.

Some believe that The Collector's true form is that of a shadowy hound, and that he takes on a humanoid shape to better interact with mortals and demons alike. Others claim that he can shape-shift at will, taking on any form he desires to complete his tasks. Regardless of his true form, The Collector is a terrifying presence to encounter, and few who cross his path are able to escape his grasp. He stops at nothing until his task is completed.

The Behemoth

The Behemoth was the demon lord of destruction until his imprisonment on the material plane. He was a massive creature made of ice, the size of a small mountain and all the strength of one. He loved destruction, reveling in it. He is perhaps the best known demon besides Malphas because of his attack on the material plane thousands of years ago. He was sealed away under a mountain of ice during his attack, where he still remains.

The Mad Mage

The Mad Mage is a malevolent and unpredictable demon lord, who revels in chaos and destruction. He was once a powerful human wizard who was consumed by his lust for destruction, leveling entire villages and towns with his devastating spells. His obsession with demons led him to use his magical powers to tear open a portal into the abyss, where he made a pact with the demon lords and joined their ranks.

Since then, The Mad Mage has risen to become the demon lord of destruction, using his formidable magical abilities to create new demons with devastating powers. He is said to be unpredictable and often capricious in his behavior, delighting in the destruction of entire cities and causing havoc wherever he goes.

The Mad Mage's influence is strongest in the material plane, where he seeks out followers who are willing to cause chaos and destruction. He welcomes those who are willing to join his cult, granting them access to powerful magic and demonic powers in exchange for their loyalty and service. Those who serve The Mad Mage are known to be ruthless and destructive, willing to do whatever it takes to spread chaos and destruction in his name.

The Weave Mother

The Weave Mother is a grotesque and terrifying entity, feared by many for her ability to twist and distort life itself. Her lair in the abyss is a nightmare realm of pulsing flesh and writhing limbs, where her creations roam free and her worshippers come to offer their sacrifices.

As the demon lord of monsters, the Weave Mother revels in the power to create new abominations by weaving together different creatures and body parts. Her skill in this dark art is unmatched, and her creations are feared for their strength and savagery.

Despite her monstrous appearance, the Weave Mother sees herself as a nurturing mother to her creations, and fiercely defends them against any who would harm them. Her followers, both demonic and mortal, believe that by offering sacrifices to her, they can gain her favor and be granted new limbs or other physical enhancements.

Some of her creations include minotaurs and gnolls. She accepts sacrifices from demonic worshippers for new material to stitch together, and offers her followers in return new limbs. Sometimes a desperate amputee will make a sacrifice to her for an arm back, or sometimes a power hungry warrior will make a sacrifice for the arms of a gorilla to replace his own. The Weave Mother is said to be ginormous, a mess of limbs and flesh, resembling nothing close to a human.

The Pale Night

The Pale Night is the demon lord of madness. She is an unknowable enigma shrouded in mystery, to peer beyond her veil was to witness an indestructible horror so great that it was rejected by reality itself. The Pale night appears as a shimmering strange white sheet wrapped tightly around the figure of a humanoid. Her phantasmal figure glides through the air silently, as she never speaks a word. The sheet prevents people from ever seeing a glimpse of her true, maddening form. People say that if you ever encounter her, never speak a word. She inflicts maddening torture on those that dare to speak in her presence. She rarely interacts with the other demon lords.

The Pale Night is said to have the power to drive people insane just by being near them, and those who have seen her true form have been driven to madness or worse. Her domain in the abyss is a shifting maze of confusion and illusion, where reality is twisted and warped beyond recognition. Those who enter her realm are trapped in a never-ending labyrinth of madness and despair, where the mind is the only true weapon.

There are whispers that The Pale Night seeks to spread her madness beyond the abyss, to infect the minds of mortals and drive them to insanity. Some believe that she has agents in the mortal realm, who spread her influence through dreams and visions. Others believe that she seeks to merge the abyss with the mortal plane, to bring an end to all sanity and reason.

Few have ever encountered The Pale Night and lived to tell the tale. Those who have describe her as a terrifying and otherworldly presence, whose very presence is enough to induce madness. Some say that she is the embodiment of madness itself, a force of chaos and entropy that seeks to unravel the fabric of reality.

The symbol of the Pale Night is a full moon that radiates a white mist. The Pale Night's full moon is said to cause madness, and those that find themselves under it better seek cover or be scorched by the light of the full moon.

Dracora

Dracora is a powerful and malevolent demon lord who rules over the domain of the undead. She is also known as the Blood Lord, and her power is said to be strongest during a blood moon. Her ultimate goal is to turn all beings in the world into undead creatures under her control.

Dracora's influence extends beyond just the undead, as she is also closely associated with disease and sickness. She spreads these afflictions as a means of causing more death, which she uses to fuel her unholy creations. As the mother of succubi, she sends these seductive demons to tempt mortals to their doom, claiming their souls as fuel for her dark powers.

Dracora's physical form is that of a pale and attractive humanoid with bat-like wings and a pointed tail. She exudes a powerful aura of death and decay that can drive mortals to madness if they are not careful. Her followers often worship her out of a desire for eternal undeath, and she grants them a gift that allows them to live forever as undead creatures as long as they consume blood. The blood that they consume not only sustains them, but also gives Dracora strength, making her even more powerful.

Many fear Dracora and her followers, as they represent a dangerous threat to the living. Those who dare to confront her or her minions risk being turned into mindless undead creatures, forever under the control of the Blood Lord.
