Dragons Rest

Dragon’s Rest is an old ancient giant city, carved into a massive ice wall, with colossal iron gates that protect the city. During the Great Eastern War, the giants of Dragon’s Rest battled a dragon and won, leaving the sword they slayed the dragon with in its skull. The giants proudly displayed the skull atop the gates of the city. The giants locked themselves away in Dragon’s Rest after the Great Eastern War ended, disappearing from society, with many believing them to have gone extinct. Any attempt made by mankind to visit has been met with a silence upon knocking at the doors to the city, not that many have tried. Dragons refuse to fly near Dragon’s Rest, seeing it as a bad omen.

The theories that the giants had gone extinct was proven to be false, as 6 giants joined Baldur Falcon’s final stand at the Battle of Dragon’s Rest. It is unknown as to why there were only 6 giants left, as giants do not keep a recorded history and all six giants were slain during the battle. Baldur’s soldiers claim the giants helped them because House Falcon had giants blood running through their veins. King Kensley has since decreed that Dragon’s Rest is forbidden, as he has no idea what caused the giants to go extinct, and fears perhaps a disease or plague may have caused it.
