House Kensley
House Kensley originally pledged themselves as protectorates to House Vallos, serving them as loyal guards. House Kensley trained themselves in all aspects of combat, they mastered every weapon and memorized the best battle tactics to protect House Vallos. After some time, House Vallos granted the Kensley's land and made them into a noble house for their service.
House Kensley is known to be calculating, smart, and highly capable in battle. After the Godscar, House Kensley used their skills to quickly lay claim to be the new ruling house of Valtoria, and nobody opposed. Their colors are gold and silver, and their symbol is an arm holding a sword, paying tribute to their origins. House Kensley rules over the country of Valtoria from the capital city, Swordspire. The Kensleys have lived and ruled over Swordspire since it was built when House Vallos gave them the land.
Currently, the head of House Kensley, and king of the country, is Kenneth Kensley. His wife is Sylvia Kensley, and he has 3 children, Kiara, Kellan, and Kingsley. King Kenneth is seen as a smart, scheming, calculating man. He is not known for his prowess on the battlefield, but rather his cunning in political affairs. During his reign, he crushed two different rebellions, earning him the nickname Kenneth the Peacekeeper. Kenneth is a man with gray hair, and he usually wears elegant clothing to go with his extravagant crown. He has a sharp angular face, making him seem cold and calculating, like he's always thinking 10 steps ahead.
Kenneth’s wife, Sylvia Kensley, also the queen, is originally from House Sarlett. House Sarlett is a minor house. Kenneth’s father married him to Sylvia to strengthen his ties with House Sarlett, as they had a powerful fleet that he wanted for the War of the Bare Rocks. Sylvia has taken an active role as queen of Valtoria, overseeing diplomatic relations. Sylvia has long brown wavy hair and deep brown eyes, with a delicate and refined look, giving her an air of elegance and sophistication.
Kiara was Kenneth and Sylvia’s firstborn and heir, but she died when she was 14 years old. The circumstances of her death are not known, and it is rumored that something may have happened to her, but if anybody publicly raises concerns they would be thrown into the dungeons of Swordspire never to be seen again.
Kellan is the second born of Kenneth and Sylvia, and is currently the heir to the throne. Kellan is a shining example of a knight to the people, he frequently chases out bandits from nearby towns while wearing his sparkling adamantine plate armor. The peasants describe him as handsome, brave, and strong. Kellan has also proven himself as a capable leader and warrior during the Battle of Dragon’s Rest. He was a hero of the first, and is a knight of the 4th degree, being knighted in all regions except the Winterlands. His duty as heir to the throne is to lead the Royal Knights until he ascends to the throne. Kellan stands over six feet, with short neat brown hair. His face has chiseled features and a strong jawline, giving him a very handsome appearance. During his time at the Masterpool Academy, Kellan was very popular. He was supposed to marry Charlotte Cantell, until her untimely demise. His father betrothed him to her twin sister, Catrina, after Charlottes death. Kellan wields his fathers adamantine sword The Sacred Vow.
Kingsley is the youngest child of Kenneth and Sylvia. Kingsley is seen as an oaf, he’s not smart, and he’s not athletic. He lacks any useful talent for the kingdom and has brought shame upon House Kensley. Kingsley is unremarkable, of above average weight and and height, with bowl cut brown hair. Despite his lack of talent and unimpressive appearance, he is still a member of the royal family, and is still treated with respect by the people.
