The Godscar

The Godscar is a region of land where the dead gods fought the demons in the War of the Fallen Angel. The area was once called The Spire, a tropical peninsula with a rich and magically advanced culture. It was home to the famed Vallosian High Academy, a leading institution for magical research and education. The region was known for its beautiful architecture of narrow spirals and was the most populated area of the country.

Despite The Spires prosperity, it was destroyed in the War of the Fallen Angel when Malphas lead his army of demons to the surface and launched an attack on the kingdom of Valtoria as a way to spite the gods. Now the region lies in ruins, with lands so ravaged and fractured that not even a single seed could sprout in the soil of the Godscar, and demons leftover from the War of the Fallen Angel still lurk in great numbers. Nobody in the region at the time of the destruction survived, and since the destruction, nobody has ever made it beyond the outskirts and lived to tell the tale. The Grand Spiral, the castle of House Vallos, the once rulers of Valtoria, still remains completely intact, towering above all the other ruins. It is unknown how or why it survived, or what may lie within.

The destruction of The Spire resulted in the loss of much information, including research, scholars, royal archives, history, and knowledge about magic. The Kingdom has yet to relearn all that was lost.

The Vallosian High Academy

The Vallosian High Academy was highly respected for its magical research, and many of the discoveries and breakthroughs made there contributed greatly to the advancement of magic in Valtoria. The academy was also renowned for its rigorous training programs for young mages, and many of the most talented and powerful mages in the kingdom were graduates of the academy.

However, as with any institution, there were also rumors and speculation about darker aspects of the academy. Some whispered that the scholars of the academy may have delved into forbidden or dark magic, seeking power and knowledge that was beyond the realm of what was considered acceptable or safe. These rumors were often dismissed as baseless speculation, but there were certainly instances where the academy's research took an unexpected turn or led to unforeseen consequences, such as the Mages of the Yellow Flame.

There were also whispers of factions or secret societies within the academy, where certain scholars or mages pursued their own agendas or sought power and influence outside the usual channels of authority. Whether these rumors were true or not, they contributed to a sense of mystery and intrigue surrounding the academy, and its reputation as a place of both great learning and potential danger.

The Grand Spiral

The castle is made of dark grey stone and is surrounded by ruins and desolation. Its name comes from the spiral staircase that runs up the central tower, which can be seen from afar, standing tall amidst the destruction. The tower is topped with a spire that once held a beacon, guiding travelers through the region.

The architecture of The Spiral is grand and imposing, with intricate carvings and details in the stonework, reflecting the wealth and power of House Vallos. The castle's walls are thick and high, with crenellations and towers that give it a formidable appearance.

Though the castle has been abandoned for years, it is said that there are still treasures and artifacts within its walls. However, nobody has ever made it remotely close to the castle and lived to tell the tale.
