Dragon Council

The Dragon Council is full of powerful dragons that advise the king and the major noble houses. There is one dragon on each of the nobles council that act as advisors. The dragons, although very powerful, have sworn to never partake in battle unless all of them unanimously agree. Nalathir is the head of the dragon council.

The dragons assigned to each house are sworn to serve the house they are assigned to, even if they are at odds with another dragon that advises a different house. For example, Arcturia, the dragon that was sworn to House Falcon, worked to help them rebel against the rest of the kingdom. Arcturia was just doing her sworn duty, and was not held liable after the rebellion ended.

The Dragons each assume a human form most of the time, only changing into their dragon form to travel.

Nalathir

Nalathir is a bronze dragon, and he advises House Kensley. Nalathir is very old, having served on the council of many kings. He has studied with the Kensley's, and is adept at strategic warfare, where his planning came in handy for helping to put down the Bleakwater Rebellion, Falcon Rebellion, and he continues to help with the War of the Bare Rocks. While House Kensley is known for being master strategists and capable warriors, many of their victories can be in part attributed to the knowledge from Nalathir.

Nalathir takes the appearance of an old man with short gray hair and a long beard.

Arcturia

Arcturia is a silver dragon that advises House Rolfe. She used to serve House Falcon, but no longer does because they are not the leaders of the north anymore. She is said to have a soft spot for Halvar Falcon, and often visits him at Anfel. She is known for being very wise, and was very close to House Falcon.

Arcturia has a humanoid form, resembling an elven woman with ice-white hair and piercing blue eyes. Her graceful movements and serene demeanor make her a beloved figure among those who know her, and her wisdom and guidance have helped nobles for centuries.

Ferynthor

Ferynthor is a black dragon, and was assigned to House Haddock when they were a noble house. Ferynthor was good friends with Harry Haddock, often planning charitable works with him. When Harry stepped down to allow his son Henry to take over, Ferynthor tried to get Henry to continue the charity work his father started, but to no avail. When the Bleakwater Rebellion started, Ferynthor advised Henry against it, but helped anyways. When Harry died, Ferynthor abandoned his post out of grief and hasn't been seen since.

In his humanoid form, Ferynthor is still an imposing figure, standing tall and broad-shouldered with jet-black hair that falls in thick waves to his shoulders. His features are sharp and angular, and his eyes retain their eerie green glow. He wears dark, flowing robes.

Vythoros

Vythoros is a brass dragon that advises House Salethar. The Dunelands have been in relative peacetime since the creation of the Dragon Council, so Vythoros mostly hangs out with the citizens of serpents rest. He loves the chariot fights, and often hosts tournaments. He provides the prize money himself, and the winners receive a significant amount of gold. His tournaments have become very popular, and people come from all over the Dunelands to participate.

Vythoros's humanoid form is that of a muscular man with a bald head and a thick black beard. He wears a gladiator's outfit, complete with sandals and a short sword. His skin is a dark, burnished brass color, and he has small horns protruding from his forehead. He is always surrounded by an aura of heat, which makes those around him feel as if they are standing too close to a fire.

Despite his fearsome appearance, Vythoros is a kind and caring dragon who is deeply invested in the well-being of the Dunelands and its people. He is a beloved figure in the region, and many consider him a hero.

Sylphira

Sylphira is a gold dragon that advises House Cantell. Sylphira is wise beyond her years and is highly respected among the other dragons, despite being the youngest dragon, only just over 100 years old. She is known for her patience and understanding, often taking the time to listen to the concerns of others and offering advice when needed. Sylphira takes her role as advisor to House Cantell very seriously, often spending long hours studying books and maps to help with their plans. She is particularly skilled at architecture, helping to build some of the most beautiful buildings in the Roselands. Despite her focus on her duties, she never loses sight of her goal to help those in need and often takes breaks to fly around the countryside, offering aid where she can.

In her humanoid form, Sylphira is often seen wearing flowing, pastel-colored dresses and flowers in her long blonde hair. Her beauty and kindness are said to be unmatched. Despite her gentle nature, Sylphira is not to be underestimated, as her strength and power are second to none among the dragons.

Vaeltar

Vaeltar is a green dragon that advises House Fowler. Vaeltar is an expert hunter, and adept at flying through the trees that surround the Wildwood. Vaeltar is the most reclusive dragon, often speaking to nobody but members of House Fowler. Vaeltar is more animalistic than the other dragons, but he still possess intelligence greater than the average mortal.

Vaeltar prefers to be in his dragon form, and it is unknown what his human form may look like, but people often speculate he may take the form of a wood elf.
